Ayodhya: The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) took Rampreet Verma, a pharmacist at Shri Ram Hospital in Ayodhya, into custody on suspicion of involvement in a serious case of kidnapping and attempted murder registered at Pakouli police station in the neighbouring district of Basti.
The police have been investigating the case for nearly a week and have been questioning Rampreet Verma as part of their inquiry. Early morning around 4 am, the STF arrested him from his residence and subsequently conducted searches at the pharmacist’s office and other areas within Shri Ram Hospital. Rampreet Verma was also taken to the hospital premises during the investigation.
According to information received, a Tata Nexon car used in the kidnapping was recovered based on Rampreet Verma’s directions. This vehicle is considered a crucial piece of evidence in the case. Following the recovery of the car, the STF intensified its investigation.
Reports suggest there are serious allegations of kidnapping and attempted murder against Rampreet Verma’s son-in-law. The police continue to interrogate Rampreet Verma thoroughly to uncover all details related to the case. The investigation is ongoing, with the STF examining multiple aspects in depth.
This development has attracted local attention since Shri Ram Hospital is a well-known private medical facility in Ayodhya, and the detention of a pharmacist has sparked discussions in the community.
As of now, no formal arrest has been registered against Rampreet Verma, but he remains in custody for questioning. Further updates will be shared once the investigation is complete.
