Bengaluru police have registered a case against Sandalwood actor Mayur Patel for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol. The incident occurred on Old Airport Road, where the actor’s Fortuner collided with a parked car, triggering a chain reaction that damaged a total of four vehicles.
According to the police, the actor’s vehicle hit a car parked by the roadside, which caused other nearby vehicles to be involved in the accident. Fortunately, no one sustained serious injuries in the collision.
Traffic police arrived at the scene following the accident and conducted a breath analyser test on Mayur Patel. The test confirmed that he was driving while intoxicated. Consequently, a case has been filed under relevant sections pertaining to drunk driving. The actor’s Fortuner has been seized by the authorities for further investigation.
The police are currently probing the circumstances and causes of the accident. Further action will be taken based on the findings of the ongoing inquiry.
Mayur Patel comes from a film family and is the son of the late renowned actor Madan Patel. He entered the film industry in 2000 and gradually established his presence. Although early success eluded him, he maintained a steady career with various roles. He acted in films like ‘Gunna’ and ‘Slum’, and later gained wider popularity through his participation in the Kannada reality show Bigg Boss.
