BSE Resolves 183 Investor Complaints in April

New Delhi, May 4: The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Limited announced on Monday that it resolved 183 investor complaints against 117 companies during April 2026. This figure includes complaints that were pending from previous reporting periods.

During this month, the exchange received 168 new complaints against 117 companies, while a total of 183 complaints were settled against 128 companies. This indicates that more cases were resolved than new complaints received during this period.

According to the exchange, the resolved complaints also included previously pending cases, demonstrating that the exchange is actively progressing its grievance redressal process on its platform.

As of April 2026, three companies had the highest number of complaints pending for over a month. JSW Steel Limited topped the list with nine pending complaints, followed by Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) with four, and HBL Engineering Limited with three complaints pending for more than a month. However, the BSE did not provide any details regarding the nature of these complaints.

In comparison, in February 2026, the BSE resolved 150 complaints against 114 companies, while receiving 113 new complaints against 94 companies that month. The number of complaints resolved also exceeded the new complaints received during that month.

In December 2025, the exchange settled 109 complaints against 92 companies, while 141 new complaints were recorded against 113 companies, indicating that the number of complaints exceeded resolutions in that month.

Earlier, in September 2025, the BSE resolved 190 complaints against 126 companies, receiving 173 new complaints. In October 2025, it settled 143 complaints against 90 companies, including pending cases, while 120 new complaints were recorded against 81 companies.

These figures suggest that the grievance resolution process has remained consistently active over the past few months, although fluctuations in the number of complaints received and resolved can be observed based on market activities and investor participation.

On Monday, BSE Limited’s shares closed at ₹3,712, marking an increase of nearly 2%. The company’s 52-week high is ₹3,755, while its lowest point is ₹2,021.50. As of May 4, 2026, the company’s market capitalization stands at ₹1.51 lakh crore.
