Jaipur : Rajasthan Finance Minister Diya Kumari will present the first full budget of the Bhajanlal government inside the assembly shortly. This is the first time that a state budget is being presented before the central budget. That is why this budget will be in line with the vision of the Center, which will prepare a road map for PM Modi’s vision of ‘Developed India’. The biggest challenge before the Rajasthan government is to deal with the debt, as the state is in a huge debt of Rs 5.79 lakh crore, which is the highest for any state in the country. An investor summit is also expected to be held in Rajasthan in December, so the government can consider investment friendly policies in the budget.
All eyes will also be on whether the Bhajan Lal government discontinues some of the schemes started by the Gehlot government? Just like the free mobile scheme for women was discontinued earlier. However, based on the previous government’s focus on health, an increase in health insurance cover can be seen. On the other hand, the old pension scheme had also become a topic of political discussion. Now it will be interesting to see how the new government deals with the pension problem. Today is the first full budget of the new BJP government, which is expected to outline its vision for the state for the next five years.
