CM Bhupendra Patel Distributes 40 Electric Cars to ITI Centers for Youth Training

Gandhinagar, March 12: In a significant initiative, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel inaugurated 40 electric cars for various Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in Gandhinagar, aimed at providing practical training in innovative technologies related to electric vehicles. This move is expected to benefit over 8,000 young trainees specializing in the motor mechanic trade.

During the event, which was attended by Labour Skill Development Minister Kunvarjibhai Bavaliya, the Chief Minister also launched 50 Dhanvantari Arogya Raths and six mobile medical vans to ensure primary healthcare treatment for construction workers and their families at home.

Recognizing the growing trend of electric vehicles and the employment opportunities emerging in this sector, the Labour Skill Development and Employment Department, under the guidance of CM Patel, has begun equipping government ITIs with modern technology. The demand for experts in battery technology, electric powertrains, and embedded software is on the rise in the automotive industry.

To secure skilled manpower for the industry, the state government aims to provide trainees with the latest technology training by making 40 syllabus-based electric cars available in the automobile sector. These vehicles will facilitate practical training, enabling trainees at government ITIs to become self-reliant in electric vehicle-related professions.

In addition to the electric cars, the Chief Minister also inaugurated the Dhanvantari Arogya Raths and mobile medical vans, which will treat common ailments such as fever, diarrhea, and skin diseases, as well as conduct essential lab tests. The initiative aims to ensure the health and well-being of construction workers and their families.
