CRPF Celebrates Foundation Day with Free Medical Camp in Manipur

Bijapur, March 9: On the occasion of the CRPF Foundation Day, a remarkable initiative was undertaken in Bijapur district, showcasing the commitment of security personnel not only to protect the public but also to serve humanity. Under the guidance of the Collector and the Indian Red Cross Society, a blood donation camp was organized by the 170 Battalion of CRPF.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from CRPF personnel, who voluntarily donated blood. A total of 52 units of blood were collected, which will play a crucial role in treating patients in need at local hospitals.

During the event, officials emphasized that blood donation is considered the greatest gift, as it can save the life of someone in need. This camp, held on the CRPF Foundation Day, sends a strong message of service, cooperation, and humanity within the community.

Officials praised the initiative organized under the guidance of the Indian Red Cross Society, noting that such events raise awareness about blood donation and inspire more people to engage in this noble cause.

Additionally, on the 87th CRPF Foundation Day, the 112 Battalion of CRPF successfully organized a free medical camp in the remote areas of Lamchok Nepali village, Kangpokpi district, on March 9. This camp was conducted under the supervision of the IG of Manipur and Nagaland sectors.

The event saw participation from Deputy Commandant Rajendra Prasad Raigar, Assistant Commandant Shivraj Mahulaya, Unit Medical Officer Dr. Durgesh Dhote, and nursing and paramedical staff from PHC T. Vaichong. The initiative aligns with the CRPF’s motto of ‘Service and Loyalty,’ aiming to provide essential health services and free medicines to people in remote areas.

Over 200 villagers participated in the medical camp, including school students from the distant IT Road area. Local leaders from around 15 villages, along with members of the Kuki, Naga, and Nepali communities, actively took part in the event.

In addition to medical check-ups, medicines were distributed, and basic tests were conducted by lab technicians on-site. School children attending the medical check-up were also given notebooks and pens. Villagers expressed their gratitude to the 112 Battalion of CRPF and the Kangpokpi district administration for their significant contributions in successfully organizing this medical camp.
