Mumbai, March 13: Actor Diljit Dosanjh is set to captivate audiences with his much-anticipated romantic drama film ‘Main Wapas Aaoonga.’ The film beautifully portrays themes of love, separation, and longing. The teaser was released by the filmmakers on Friday.
The teaser presents an intense glimpse into an old-fashioned love story, showcasing a different look of Shervani. It begins with a dialogue between Diljit Dosanjh and Naseeruddin Shah, where Naseeruddin is seen lying on a bed as Diljit visits him.
In the background, Diljit narrates a brief insight into the story, stating, “The story is romantic and has been in my grandfather’s mind for many years.” The narrative then flashes back to reveal the love story of Shervani and Vedang Raina, culminating in Vedang tearfully departing on a train, declaring, “Main Wapas Aaoonga.”
Towards the end of the teaser, Diljit adds, “If we stay alive, like, comment, subscribe, hashtag partition,” hinting that the film’s plot may revolve around a love story intertwined with the theme of India’s partition. Vedang Raina’s emotional dialogue, “Main Wapas Aaoonga,” encapsulates the essence of the entire narrative.
The teaser has been shared by Diljit and the entire cast on their official Instagram accounts. Directed by Imtiaz, known for his sensitive storytelling, the film features Diljit Dosanjh in the lead role.
