FIR filed in Kota against Congress leaders who staged violent protest against BJP

Kota : Two FIRs have been registered against Congress leaders who staged violent protests in Kota city of Rajasthan on Monday over alleged irregularities in the conduct of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG). The first FIR includes the names of Congress state president Govind Singh Dotasara, Leader of Opposition Tikaram Julie, MLAs Ashok Chandna, Chetan Patel and CL Premi. While the second FIR includes the names of Congress leaders Prahlad Gunjal, Naeemuddin Guddu, Moizuddin Guddu, District President Bhanu Pratap Singh and others.

On the call of the state Congress, workers of Kota-Bundi Lok Sabha constituency demonstrated at the Circuit House and Collectorate on Monday. Various issues were raised in the demonstration, one of which was the cancellation of NEET exam. During this, Congress leaders and workers tried to enter the Collectorate by removing the barricades installed by the police at the Collectorate intersection. There was a long debate and scuffle between the police and the Congressmen in this matter. Later the police dispersed the crowd with water cannon. Despite this, Congress leaders were gathering in front of the barricades.

On whose complaint was the FIR lodged?

In this case, Kota City SP Dr. Amrita Duhan says that the entire incident was videographed. During this violent protest, a situation of confrontation with the police had arisen. Therefore, on the complaint of the police officer and police personnel, cases have been registered against the Congress leaders. In this case, the police have accused them of pushing, abusing, obstructing government work. During this, the Congress workers and leaders also assaulted the police personnel.

Dotasara-Julie made accused

Kota City SP Dr. Amrita Duhan said, ‘In the case registered by Nayapura police station, PCC President Govind Singh Dotasara, Leader of Opposition in Rajasthan Assembly Tikaram Julie, former minister and MLA Hindoli Ashok Chandna, Pipalda MLA Chetan Patel Kolana, Keshoraipatan MLA CL Premi and Kota Rural District President Bhanu Pratap Singh have been made accused. This FIR has been registered on the complaint of Nayapura police station officer Lakshmi Chand Verma. He has told that there were 2000 people in the Congress rally, who were instigated by Hindoli MLA Ashok Chandna. After this, these people reached the Collectorate, where the police tried to convince them, but they did not agree. In this case, there are allegations of pushing, abusing and obstructing the government work with the police. Most of the accused in this case are MLAs. In such a situation, CID CB will investigate them.

16 names in the second FIR

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police II Rajesh Soni, Head Constable Sher Singh has filed a report in the second case. There are 16 names and the rest are other accused in this case. Head Constable Sher Singh had complained that he was on duty at the Collectorate intersection near the Ambedkar statue. During this time, Congress leaders came protesting and snatched and beat him and punched him, due to which he is in a lot of pain. A case has been registered in this matter and Sher Singh will be medically examined. This investigation will be done by the Nayapura police station. In this, Prahlad Gunjal, Bhanu Pratap Singh, Ravindra Tyagi, Naeemuddin Guddu, Moizuddin Guddu, Manzoor Tanwar, Asrar Ahmed, Vijay Pratap Singh Panahera, Vishal Mewada, Pawan Meena, Shiv Prakash Nagar, Dhanraj, Jagroop Singh Randhawa, Naresh Meena, Bablu Kasana and Abid Kagzi along with other Congress leaders and workers have been made accused.

Kota IG was threatened

During the protest in Kota, in a meeting held outside the Circuit House, state president Govind Singh Dotasara had threatened the Kota Range IG by saying that the IG should stop being cruel to Congress workers or else the Congress workers will make their lives hell. No one will come to save them. Do your job with dignity. Apart from state president Govind Singh Dotasara, Congress leaders had also accused the Kota Range IG of harassing Congress workers forcibly.
