Jaipur : BJP has entrusted a big responsibility to former Rajasthan state president Satish Poonia before the assembly elections in Haryana. Satish Poonia has been appointed as the state in-charge in Haryana. Along with him, Rajya Sabha MP from Uttar Pradesh Surendra Singh Nagar has been appointed as the state co-in-charge, but no state in-charge has been appointed in Rajasthan. In the Lok Sabha elections also, the party had appointed Satish Poonia as the state election in-charge in Haryana. Satish Poonia’s activism during the elections made a lot of headlines. He organized successful rallies of PM Modi, Amit Shah and JP Nadda, but BJP could not make a clean sweep in Haryana this time. In Haryana, BJP had won ten seats in 2019, but this time BJP could win only 5 seats out of 10 Lok Sabha seats. But now in the upcoming assembly elections, the party has entrusted a big responsibility to Satish Poonia.
After losing the election, Poonia is continuously getting responsibility
In the Rajasthan assembly elections, the party had made Satish Poonia a candidate from Amer assembly. He lost the election, but the party’s faith in him remained intact. In the Lok Sabha elections, the party had appointed him as the state election in-charge of Haryana. Actually, Satish Poonia has a long experience of organization. He has been the state party president. Apart from this, Satish Poonia has also held the post of state general secretary four times between 2004 and 2014. In the year 2011, he has also been the convener of LK Advani’s Jan Chetna Yatra. At the same time, Satish Poonia was also given responsibility in the assembly elections held in Haryana in the years 2010 and 2015.
State in-charge not appointed in Rajasthan
Today, the central leadership of BJP has appointed state in-charges and co-in-charges in 24 states, but has not appointed a state in-charge in Rajasthan. National General Secretary Arun Singh, who was the state in-charge of Rajasthan for a long time, was removed by the party about three months ago. Before the Lok Sabha elections, the party had given him the new responsibility of state election in-charge in Andhra Pradesh. Arun Singh was less active in Rajasthan since the assembly elections. Ever since the departure of Organization General Secretary Chandrashekhar from Rajasthan, there were constant speculations that Arun Singh would also be removed from Rajasthan soon. However, till now BJP has not appointed anyone else to the post of state in-charge of Rajasthan.
He raised his political stature by making him in-charge but kept him away from Rajasthan
Satish Poonia has been given a big responsibility by making him in-charge of Haryana. This has increased Poonia’s stature in the party organization. Poonia was also given the responsibility of in-charge of Haryana during the Lok Sabha elections. After being removed from the post of Rajasthan State President, Poonia did not have any post in the organization, now by making him the State In-charge, a signal has been given of making him active in the national politics of the party. By giving him the responsibility of State In-charge of Haryana, a signal has been given of taking Satish Poonia in the mainstream, however, he has also been kept away from the day-to-day politics of Rajasthan. There is no restriction on being active in Rajasthan even while being the State In-charge. Many leaders have been active in the politics of their home states while being in-charge.
From ticket distribution to complete management, we will look after it
Assembly elections are to be held in Haryana this year. In the election year, the state in-charge has a big responsibility. As the state in-charge, he will have a say in ticket distribution in Haryana. The entire election will be fought under his management.
