Nagpur, March 27: Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avadheshanand Giri Maharaj has expressed his views on the current global situation, stating that rampant materialism is prevalent today. He emphasized that the tendency to accumulate more leads to dominance and authority, shaping the direction of leadership.
He remarked that the current circumstances indicate that those with greater resources are considered superior. However, India has never harbored such arrogance. What India possesses has always been for the benefit of others. He reiterated that the world is one family, and we are all members of it. This is our fundamental essence. Our concern is not limited to our own country; India does not only care for its own people. The principles of universal welfare originate from India.
Swami Avadheshanand Giri stated that if there is peace worldwide, we too will remain peaceful, which reflects India‘s philosophy. He believes that if our Vedic thoughts and scriptures reach the West, the conflicts and disturbances currently visible will diminish. He added that spring follows autumn, and the preparations for spring will begin in India.
Earlier, on February 10, Swami Avadheshanand Giri referred to India as a Hindu nation during a discussion in Morena, asserting that India has become a stronger and more prosperous nation than ever before. He noted that the Indian government is working towards a peaceful society and social well-being, while also advocating for equality among all communities.
He emphasized that all communities are equal today and deserve respect. Regardless of our backgrounds, we are all Hindus, and we should take pride in this. Hindu values have advanced significantly, with practices like yoga and Ayurveda spreading across the globe, even in Muslim countries where people are embracing yoga. Ayurveda is respected worldwide.
