He highlighted the ‘Nal se Jal’ scheme, which ensures water supply to every household in newly developed areas. “In this regard, our city has developed significantly compared to other metropolitan areas over the last three decades,” he stated.
To enhance civic amenities in line with smart city standards, the city is witnessing rapid expansion of roads and flyovers to ease traffic. Additionally, modern hospitals are being constructed to strengthen healthcare services. New pipelines are being laid for drinking water supply, and the sewage system is also being modernized.
Municipal Commissioner D.N. Modi revealed that various projects worth approximately ₹1,200 crores are currently being inaugurated and laid out under the urban development scheme in Jamnagar.
