Rajasthan : Monsoon has wreaked havoc in Rajasthan. Since the entry of monsoon on 26 June, life has been disrupted due to continuous heavy rains. On Monday also, a rain alert was issued in 18 districts of the state. At the same time, the monsoon trough line is now passing through Jaisalmer-Chittorgarh, due to its effect, there will be heavy rain in some parts of Jodhpur, Udaipur, Kota, Jaipur, Ajmer, Bikaner division for the next two-three days.
Highest rainfall was recorded in Churu
In the last 24 hours on Sunday, light to moderate rain was recorded at many places in eastern Rajasthan and some places in western Rajasthan. Heavy rain was recorded at some places in Churu, Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Dausa, Karauli, Jaipur, Dungarpur districts. In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall of 137 mm was recorded in Surauth of Karauli and 141 mm in Taranagar of Churu. Apart from this, 84 mm rain was recorded in Sriganganagar and 41.6 mm in Pilani.
Yellow alert issued for 20 districts
According to Jaipur Meteorological Center, an alert has been issued for 20 districts for Tuesday. In which there is a possibility of lightning with thunder at some places in Ajmer, Alwar, Banswara, Bhilwara, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Dausa, Dungarpur, Jhalawar, Jhunjhunu, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Sikar, Sirohi, Udaipur of eastern Rajasthan. Along with this, a yellow alert has been issued for these areas, expressing the possibility of heavy rain in Barmer, Jaisalmer, Jalore, Jodhpur, Pali and surrounding districts of western Rajasthan.
Weather update for the coming days
According to the weather center, moderate to heavy rain activities with thundershowers are likely to continue in some parts of Jodhpur, Udaipur and Kota divisions of Southern Rajasthan on July 10-11. During this time, there is a possibility of heavy rain at some places in Udaipur division as well.
