New Delhi, March 26: The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has announced a significant opportunity for those aspiring to join its ranks. An official notification has been released for the recruitment of 323 Assistant Coach positions across various sports disciplines.
The online application process commenced on March 23 at 10 AM, with the deadline set for April 21. Eligible candidates are advised to submit their registration forms before 5 PM on the last date by visiting the official website.
The vacancies include 2 positions for Kho-Kho, 3 for Sepak Takraw, 6 each for Handball, Kabaddi, Judo, and Wushu, 7 for Canoeing, 8 for Tennis, 10 each for Volleyball and Weightlifting, 11 each for Fencing, Rowing, and Taekwondo, 12 each for Football, Cycling, Gymnastics, Basketball, and Archery, 13 for Field Hockey, 14 for Table Tennis, 16 for Badminton, 19 for Boxing, 22 for Wrestling, and 26 for Swimming, along with 28 positions each for Athletics and Shooting.
Candidates applying for these positions must possess a diploma in coaching from SAI NS-NIS Patiala or a recognized university, along with other specified eligibility criteria.
The maximum age limit for applicants is set at 30 years, calculated as of March 27. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation as per regulations.
When applying, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is ₹2,500 for General/EWS/OBC categories and ₹2,000 for SC/ST/Ex-servicemen/Female candidates.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on a Computer-Based Test (CBT), Coaching Aptitude Test (CAT), shortlisting, and the final merit list. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400, along with additional benefits and allowances.
