Following this remarkable achievement, congratulations have poured in for the team from various cricketing legends.
Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar, often referred to as the ‘God of Cricket‘, took to social media to express his joy, stating that winning the World Cup twice in a row is a historic feat, as no other team has achieved this in the T20 format. He praised the team’s exceptional performance and their unique brand of cricket, saying, “Well done, Team India. Jai Hind!”
Virat Kohli also shared his thoughts on the platform X, highlighting the unprecedented victory in Ahmedabad. He commended the explosive cricket played throughout the tournament, emphasizing the team’s resilience in tough situations and their character in reclaiming the title. “Congratulations to all players and management for this achievement. Jai Hind,” he wrote.
Former cricketer Yuvraj Singh celebrated the back-to-back championship on social media, noting the character and determination required to defend the World Cup title.
