New Delhi, April 3: Senior BJP leader Gaurav Vallabh has taken a jibe at the Congress party, suggesting that senior leader Kamal Nath should “teach” Rahul Gandhi, following Nath’s denial of any LPG shortage in response to the party’s statements.
Reacting to Kamal Nath’s assertion in Chhindwara that “there is no shortage of LPG” and that an atmosphere is being created to suggest otherwise, Vallabh stated, “Kamal Nath should tutor Rahul Gandhi. Rahul should take lessons from Kamal Nath between 4 to 5 PM, from Anand Sharma between 5 to 6 PM, and from Shashi Tharoor between 6 to 7 PM on how strong India’s foreign policy is.”
Vallabh highlighted the contradictions within the Congress party, which he described as a reflection of internal strife. While the party has been attacking the central and state governments over the alleged shortage of LPG and petroleum products, Kamal Nath has denied any crisis.
He further noted that many senior Congress leaders are now speaking differently from Rahul Gandhi. Referring to Anand Sharma’s recent comments on the situation in West Asia, Vallabh remarked, “They are saying the exact opposite of what Rahul Gandhi states in his election speeches; Rahul repeatedly makes statements that embarrass the country. These former Congress leaders are now claiming that whether it is foreign policy, economic policy, cultural policy, or political policy, India is currently in its golden era.”
Vallabh also criticized Rahul Gandhi’s recent parliamentary conduct and his comments on the CAPF administration bill, stating, “Rahul Gandhi has no faith in parliamentary traditions. Now you claim you weren’t given a chance to speak. When the Parliament session is ongoing, you do not participate.”
In a final jab regarding the Congress manifesto released for the Assam assembly elections, Vallabh said, “Rahul Gandhi, you do not need a manifesto. The Congress party is heading towards its biggest defeat yet.”
Kamal Nath’s comments have drawn attention in political circles, as Congress is raising the issue of LPG shortages as an electoral topic in several states. Political analysts suggest that this incident showcases the differing viewpoints within the party.
