Madarsa Principal Murdered in Pratapgarh Over Land Dispute

Pratapgarh, June 8 : A madrasa principal was beaten to death with sticks and sharp weapons in the Jethwara police station area on Saturday morning. The cause of the murder is a land dispute. Superintendent of Police Satpal Antil is present at the scene with a heavy police force on getting information about the incident.

Maulana Farooq (60), founder of Sonpur Madarsa in Jethwara police station area and currently principal of Kadipur Madarsa, was murdered by slitting his throat with a sharp weapon. Tension is spreading in the village as the body of Maulana was found in front of the accused’s door.

It is suspected that the incident was carried out in a financial transaction. Anticipating a ruckus due to the accused being from another community, SP Satpal Antil has sent the force of nearby police stations to the spot. District Magistrate Sanjeev Ranjan and Superintendent of Police Satpal Antil have reached the spot. The police have started investigating the case.
