Mumbai, April 27: Actress Neetu Chandra, who has journeyed from a simple girl in Bihar to Hollywood, is currently on the lookout for good films. Addressing rumors about taking a break from acting, she clarified that she is actively seeking meaningful roles, which takes time.
Having appeared in films like ‘Garam Masala’, ‘Traffic Signal’, and ‘Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!’, Neetu spoke candidly about her transition from Bihar to Bollywood and then to Hollywood in an interview with a news agency. She emphasized that her focus has always been on meaningful work rather than the glitz and glamour of stardom and unnecessary external appearances.
Regarding the perception of her taking a break, she stated, “I have not taken any break. I am always in search of good films.” She further added, “You cannot understand how much time it took for a girl from Bihar, coming from a completely ordinary background, to reach Hollywood.”
Reflecting on her journey, Neetu mentioned, “Today, I find myself back in the same place where I can meet all of you again. I do not have time for ‘airport looks’. I am focused on my next project. I take my time to choose the right work so that I can always bring something meaningful to the audience.”
Talking about her struggles, Neetu said, “It takes a lot of time. You must understand that it requires great courage to stand alone. For a girl from a middle-class joint family to travel the world and reach here, fighting alone is not easy.”
The actress stated that her purpose in life and work has always been clear. She said, “My life’s purpose, my goal, has always been to keep doing good work and to continue receiving the love of the audience. It is this love that has brought me here.”
Notably, Neetu Chandra is all set to share the screen with Sanjay Dutt in the upcoming film ‘Khalnayak 2’.
