Bhubaneswar, March 28: The Odisha government has announced the commencement of a new application process under the Subhadra Scheme aimed at economically empowering women in the state. Interested beneficiaries for the financial year 2026-27 can apply from April 1 to April 30, 2026. The government has clarified that only new applications will be accepted during this period.
To be eligible for the scheme, the applicant woman must be aged between 21 and 60 years as of April 1, 2026. Under this scheme, eligible women will receive an annual financial assistance of ₹10,000, which will be disbursed in two installments directly into their bank accounts. This amount will be effective from the financial year 2026-27 and will continue throughout the scheme’s duration.
To simplify the application process, the government has made extensive arrangements. Interested women can apply through Common Service Centers (CSC) or the Subhadra portal at the Aam Seva Kendras (ASK). Additionally, application forms will be made available free of charge at all Anganwadi centers and CDPO offices to ensure that women from rural and remote areas can easily apply.
The government has also clarified that women who have previously applied under this scheme will not have their applications accepted again. Only new beneficiaries will be given the opportunity this time.
The Subhadra Scheme is considered a significant initiative towards women’s empowerment in the state. The government’s objective is to ensure that as many eligible women as possible benefit from this scheme and strengthen their economic status. Administrative preparations have been made to ensure that no eligible woman is left out of this initiative.
