Dungarpur : The state government has forgotten about the establishment of Dungarpur Law College for students interested in studying law in Dungarpur district. After the announcement by the then government, the law college was started here in a temporary building, but due to lack of lecturers, after admission, the law students are now feeling cheated. The examination is going to be held after a few days but due to lack of lecturers, the students have not been able to complete the syllabus. In the tribal-dominated Dungarpur district of the state, the Congress government had opened the box of schemes and announcements. The announcement of Dungarpur Law College in the year 2020 opened the way for legal education for the promising people of the backward area. But call it the complexities of government work or a hollow announcement, due to which the college has not been able to start till now. The only reason for this is the lack of faculty for the law college.
21 posts were approved, 4 were put on deputation, they also returned
The Congress government had announced the law college in the year 2020. 12 bighas of land was allotted in Gumanpura village adjoining the city for the building, even after that the government started the construction work by spending Rs 6 crore. The first session has also started and for this, arrangements for studies were made in the building of VKB Girls College itself. A total of 21 posts including a principal and 7 lecturers have been approved for running the college. Now the situation is that to start the session, the present government had sent 4 lecturers on deputation who returned to their original college after completing the process. In such a situation, many posts are vacant in the name of staff or lecturer in the college.
Students are worried about the upcoming exams
Due to the absence of lecturers to shed light on complex law books, the upcoming examination is becoming a major cause of stress for the 60 students of the first session. Due to the absence of lecturers in the college for law studies, the studies of the students are getting affected. After this academic session, there will be new admissions in the second session. In such a situation, the number of students will increase.
