Jaipur, March 19: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has launched a sharp attack on the Congress party regarding the issue of gas shortages. He questioned whether the problem is being unnecessarily politicized.
The Chief Minister expressed his surprise that Congress limits the discussion of this issue to mere politics. He raised concerns about whether the gas shortage is confined to Rajasthan or is a nationwide issue, and whether Rajasthan is responsible for creating this problem.
He informed that the state government took immediate steps to alleviate the public’s difficulties. A meeting was convened on the same day the issue arose, with clear instructions given to officials to ensure there were no disruptions in gas supply.
Expressing confidence in the central government, he stated that the situation is under control. Previously, the state maintained a five-day gas stock, which has now been increased to eight days, with plans for further extensions.
Targeting the opposition, he accused Congress leaders of tarnishing the country’s image. He noted that whether in India or abroad, some Congress members attempt to damage India’s reputation. He added that the opposition becomes uncomfortable when he speaks the truth.
The Chief Minister made these remarks during the ‘Entrepreneur Dialogue’ event at the Rajasthan International Centre. Criticizing the previous government, he stated that there was no clear policy at that time, leading to confusion among youth and difficulties for entrepreneurs, along with corruption in funds received from the center. Additionally, he mentioned that internal disagreements weakened governance.
Bhajanlal Sharma reiterated his commitment to providing uninterrupted electricity. He emphasized that electricity and water are crucial for development, with the government’s goal of supplying 24-hour electricity to farmers and industries by 2027.
He shared that financial assistance is being provided to young entrepreneurs through various schemes, including the Chief Minister’s Youth Self-Employment Scheme. He remarked that implementing policies requires hard work and dedication, rather than mere sitting idle.
The Chief Minister also stated that strict action is being taken against wrongdoers, with several cases registered and around 450 individuals sent to jail for crimes affecting youth.
He announced that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed with Japanese investors for electric vehicle manufacturing in Rajasthan. Speaking to entrepreneurs, he noted that they are not only expanding their businesses but also strengthening Rajasthan’s economy. He mentioned that Rajasthan Day is celebrated on Chaitra Shukla Pratipada, marking the state’s formation on March 30, 1949, from the unification of princely states.
