Kota : Railway Colony Police Station has arrested 5 notorious criminals planning to rob a petrol pump. The arrested criminals are wanted in 4 cases of different police stations of the city and the police had also announced a reward of 5 thousand rupees each on two of these criminals.
Petrol pump robbery plan
SP Dr. Amrita Duhan said that on Tuesday the police received information that armed miscreants were gathering near the culvert on the Northern Bypass and were planning to commit a major crime. On receiving the information, the police team reached the spot and caught 5 miscreants planning to rob a petrol pump near the circle on the Northern Bypass Rangpur Road canal. Illegal country-made pistol with cartridges, sharp knife, red chilli powder and bike have been recovered from the possession of the miscreants.
The miscreants were wanted in 4 cases registered in different police stations
Police said that among the arrested criminals, Sunil Panchal (22), resident of Hingi Hall, Premnagar II, Sangod police station area, has 17 criminal cases registered against him in various police stations, Vijay (21), resident of Dakniya Station Surya Nagar Basti, has 10 criminal cases registered against him, Ajay Sahni (22), resident near Wajidpur, Bajrangnagar, near Dardh Devi Mata Temple, Vibhutipur police station area of Samastipur district, Bihar, has 5 criminal cases registered against Deepu (24), resident near Shripura Kolipada, Bajrangnagar, near Dardh Devi Mataji Temple, 4 criminal cases are registered against him and Yatish alias Yogesh (24), resident near Premnagar Police Chowki, has 7 criminal cases registered against him.
Confessions of theft, hostage taking and murderous attack with a knife
During interrogation of the criminals, Sunil Panchal and Vijay confessed to stealing gold and silver jewellery and cash from an empty house in Riddhi Siddhi Colony on June 12, Sunil, Vijay and others had confessed to breaking into a house in Udyog Nagar on June 10 and assaulting and vandalising the house, Sunil Vijay, Ajay, Deepu and others had forcibly taken a young man in a car, assaulted him and held him hostage on June 16, and Ajay, along with his associates, had attacked him with a knife and committed a lethal attack on him in the Udyog Nagar police station area on May 8.
