Latur, November 13 (IANS). Union Minister Piyush Goyal, while addressing an election rally in Latur, Maharashtra on Wednesday, claimed to form a grand alliance government again in the state.
He said that the people of the state have made up their mind to give the Mahayuti government another chance. We are going to form the government with absolute majority. The priority of all the parties involved in the Mahayuti alliance is development. In such a situation, we are moving forward shoulder to shoulder with PM Modi for the progress of Maharashtra state.
He said that the people of Marathwada supported Sharad Pawar and Congress for years. But, instead they got cheated. Now the people here have decided that Mahayuti government has to be formed again in the state. According to the information coming out from different areas of Maharashtra, there is a strong public inclination in favor of Mahayuti in the state. In the Lok Sabha elections, there was a difference of only two lakh votes between Mahavikas Aghadi and Mahayuti. I believe you can mislead the public once. But, can’t do it again and again.
He alleged that Sharad Pawar was a minister at the Center and the Chief Minister of the state for ten years. But, he neither did anything for the farmers nor did anything for the people of the state. The double engine government in Maharashtra has done a lot of development work and I hope that the people of the state will work to bring us victory. Mahayuti government did the work of giving Maratha reservation. At the same time, Congress and all the opposition parties practiced politics of deceit and promoted nepotism.
