Mumbai, May 5: Renowned film director Shekhar Kapur, known for his remarkable films, shared an emotional note on Tuesday remembering his daughter. In his post, he expressed not only his love for her but also provided insights into her future and education.
Kapur posted a picture of his daughter on Instagram, revealing that Kaavya is currently working hard to step into the entertainment industry. He wrote, “The girl you see in this picture with long hair is my daughter Kaavya.”
He mentioned that Kaavya is a student at the Helen Walsh Acting and Drama School, recognized as one of the best acting institutions in the world. Although typically based in Ireland, this year, Helen Walsh has invited all its students to Tuscany, Italy, where Kaavya is currently completing her training.
In his post, Kapur asked fans, “Does every father miss his daughter as much as I do? Yes, absolutely. When I miss her, I just keep looking at her pictures.”
He added, “So, forgive me for this little emotion. But what can I do? It’s unconditional love. I hope you are reading this, Kaavya.”
Kapur’s heartfelt post resonated with fans, who flooded the comments section with various responses. Director Lakshmi commented, “You have beautifully expressed your feelings for your daughter; every daughter misses her father sometimes, and often even more.”
Shekhar Kapur is set to bring the sequel to the classic 1983 film ‘Masoom,’ titled ‘Masoom: The Next Generation,’ to audiences soon.
