Shiv Sena Expresses Pride in PM Modis Honor in Sweden

Mumbai, May 18: Shiv Sena spokesperson Krishna Hegde expressed pride in Prime Minister Narendra Modi receiving the prestigious ‘Royal Order of the Polar Star’ from Sweden. In a conversation with a news agency, Hegde praised Modi, stating that this honor is a matter of pride for India.

Regarding the SIR (Systematic Identification of Residents) and the voter list verification campaign, Hegde mentioned that Deputy Chief Minister and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde has instructed party workers to engage at the booth level to identify genuine voters and assist election commission officials in the SIR process.

On the issue of rising fuel prices in Congress-ruled states, Hegde criticized the Telangana government for increasing petrol and diesel prices, noting similar hikes in Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh. He pointed out that the promises made in Congress’s manifesto are not reflected on the ground.

Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson Anand Dubey also addressed the fuel price issue, stating that there is a shortage of petrol and diesel across India. He emphasized the need for cooperation between states, especially with Telangana being a newer state.

Dubey highlighted the good relationship between PM Modi and the Chief Minister of Telangana, suggesting that the central government would provide support. He criticized the central government for its handling of the SIR process, questioning the failure to address the presence of infiltrators in the country over the past 12 years.

He urged Deputy CM Eknath Shinde to ensure that genuine voters are not removed from the list under the guise of the SIR process, warning that any such action would face opposition.

While expressing pride in PM Modi‘s international recognition, Dubey lamented the challenges faced by the country, including fuel shortages and rising inflation, questioning whether the BJP-led government is effectively managing these crises.
