Jaipur : Incidents of obscene acts and rape of minors are increasing. Relatives, neighbors and other brutes are crossing the limits of brutality on seeing girls alone. The accused even commit murder to hide their identity. It is worth noting that the cases of rape of girls have also increased this year in the Commissionerate as compared to last year. In the year 2023, 42 cases of rape of girls were registered in the Commissionerate from January to May, which increased to 46 this year. An incident of rape of a teenager working in a house came to light in Vidyadhar Nagar, while in Jhotwara, a neighbor made a three-year-old girl a victim of lust. This year, 11 incidents of rape of minors have been reported in Jaipur North, 8 in South, 17 in East and 10 in West. While 26 incidents of obscene acts have been reported in the Commissionerate.
