Traffic Advisory Issued for International Film Festival in New Delhi

New Delhi, March 24: The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory in anticipation of the International Film Festival of Delhi (IFFD 2026), scheduled to take place from March 25 to March 31, 2026. This marks the Delhi government’s first major international film festival, set to be held at the India Expo Centre in Pragati Maidan, operating from 10 AM to 10 PM daily.

During the festival, special traffic arrangements will be in effect on Mathura Road and Bhairon Road. The traffic police have made it clear that parking will be completely prohibited on these roads. Vehicles parked incorrectly will be towed immediately, and fines will be imposed. Towed vehicles will be stored at the traffic pit located in front of Bhairon Temple on Bhairon Marg.

Motorists are advised to expect heavy congestion in these areas. The Delhi Traffic Police recommends using the Ring Road and prioritizing public transport options such as the metro and buses. Passengers heading to the airport or railway station should plan their journeys in advance.

Special arrangements have been made for general attendees. Entry and exit will be through Gate No. 4 (on Bhairon Marg) and Gate No. 10 (near the metro station). For parking, Basement Parking No. 1 (entry from Bhairon Marg), Basement Parking No. 2 (entry from Mathura Road), and surface parking at Bhairon Temple and the National Stadium will be available.

The traffic police urge all motorists to remain patient, adhere to traffic rules, and respect the instructions of police personnel stationed at intersections. This will ensure a smooth and safe experience for everyone attending the festival.

Real-time updates will be available on the official website and social media handles of the Delhi Police, along with a helpline number for assistance.
