Mumbai, May 8: Actress Urvashi Rautela is currently in the spotlight for the second season of her web series ‘Inspector Avinash’. This time, her character is set to showcase a stronger emotional depth. Urvashi stated that the greatest strength of her character lies in the “struggle hidden in silence.” The mental turmoil that her seemingly calm character endures is what makes her resilient.
Talking about her role as Poonam Mishra, Urvashi explained, “In this season, my character is not just a supportive wife but someone who is internally battling a lot. The core emotion of my character this time is ‘survival in silence’, portraying a person who fights against circumstances without making noise or displaying emotions.”
She added, “In crime dramas, people often focus on violence, power, and action, but the real story lies in the fear and loneliness behind it. My character reflects emotional solitude and the constant struggle to feel secure. This is why portraying this character has been a unique experience for me.”
Urvashi expressed that she was particularly drawn to the emotions her character embodies. “She moves forward with restraint, thoughtfulness, and patience. True strength is not always about speaking loudly or fighting; sometimes, managing situations quietly is the greatest strength. This aspect makes my character special.”
The first season of ‘Inspector Avinash’ was released in 2023, featuring actor Randeep Hooda in the lead role. The series is based on a true story, showcasing the life of a sharp police officer, Avinash Mishra, who works to eradicate crime in Uttar Pradesh.
Directed by Neeraj Pathak, the first season featured several notable actors in pivotal roles. ‘Inspector Avinash 2’ will be available for streaming on Jio Hotstar starting May 15.
