
Vedanta’s shares rose by 1.39% to Rs. 624.15 on the BSE, up 8.55 points from the previous close of Rs. 615.60. The stock opened at Rs. 618.70 and fluctuated between a high of Rs. 624.45 and a low of Rs. 618.70, with 3,850 shares traded during the session.
The company’s stock, classified under BSE group ‘A’ with a face value of Rs. 1, reached a 52-week high of Rs. 624.00 on 6 January 2026. Its 52-week low was Rs. 362.20 recorded on 7 April 2025. Over the past week, the stock has traded between Rs. 597.60 and Rs. 624.75. Vedanta’s current market capitalisation stands at Rs. 2,40,723.49 crore.
Promoters hold a majority stake of 56.38% in the company, while institutional investors own 27.27%, and non-institutional shareholders hold 16.34%.
In the third quarter of FY26, Vedanta reported a slight increase in aluminium production, which climbed by 1% to 620,000 tonnes compared to 614,000 tonnes in the same period last year. Domestic zinc mined metal production rose by 4% to 276,000 tonnes from 265,000 tonnes in Q3 FY25. International zinc mined metal output saw a significant 28% jump to 59,000 tonnes from 46,000 tonnes in the corresponding quarter.
Saleable iron ore production increased by 3% to 1.6 million tonnes during Q3 FY26, up from 1.5 million tonnes in the previous year. Power sales also saw a substantial rise of 40%, reaching 4,530 million units compared to 3,245 million units in Q3 FY25. However, finished steel production declined slightly by 1%, falling to 325,000 tonnes from 329,000 tonnes year-on-year.
