New Delhi, March 26: Renowned cricketer Virat Kohli has added a unique design to his tattoo collection just before the start of IPL 2026. The former captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has a new tattoo that reflects his life, experiences, and personal transformations.
According to a press release from the studio where the tattoo was created, “This tattoo has been placed on his left arm, enhancing the existing designs rather than removing them. The aim of this process is to weave old designs into a new narrative that aligns with Kohli’s current mindset and personality.”
The tattoo began with a redesign of a Shiva-inspired armband, which then transitions into a detailed mandala pattern created using dotwork techniques. This pattern flows across the entire arm, forming the basis of the tattoo sleeve.
Included in the tattoo are flowers like the lotus and peony, symbols of strength, growth, and inner balance. However, the personal meanings behind these designs have not been fully disclosed, adding an element of mystery.
The studio also mentioned that this tattoo sleeve has been intentionally left incomplete. The reason is that new experiences, changes, and achievements in Kohli’s life will continue to be incorporated into this tattoo in the future. Thus, this tattoo symbolizes not just a single moment but serves as a living document of his entire journey.
Virat Kohli has been associated with RCB since the inaugural season of IPL in 2008, consistently delivering remarkable performances. He is the most successful batsman in the league’s history. RCB clinched the IPL 2025 title, marking their first championship, with Kohli playing a pivotal role by scoring 657 runs, including eight half-centuries in 15 matches. RCB will aim to defend their title in IPL 2026, and Kohli’s extraordinary performance will once again be crucial.
