Mahoba: A young woman from a village in the district was held hostage and molested by a youth of the village. The woman had lodged a complaint with the police. On the basis of the woman’s complaint, the police had registered a case against the accused. The police have arrested the accused and sent him to jail.
In a village in the Kharela police station area of the district, Deepak Singh held a young woman of the same village hostage and molested her with evil intentions. When the woman resisted, he also beat her up. The woman raised a hue and cry, which drew a crowd of people from the locality. Due to this, the accused could not succeed in his intentions and fled from the spot.
On the basis of the victim’s complaint, the police station registered a case, investigated the matter and arrested the accused and sent him to jail. On Friday, Kharela SHO Gopal Chandra Kanaujia said that the matter is being investigated. The charge sheet will be filed against the accused soon.
