
New Delhi: India’s Vice President, C.P. Radhakrishnan, extended heartfelt congratulations to all the recipients of the Padma Awards announced recently.
In a post shared on his official social media account, Radhakrishnan praised the exceptional contributions and dedicated service of the awardees. He also paid tribute to those honoured posthumously.
“I warmly congratulate all the Padma Award winners. Their outstanding contributions and devoted service have enriched the nation across various fields. While congratulating the living recipients, I also respectfully remember those honoured posthumously, whose enduring legacy will continue to inspire generations. I wish all awardees and their families the very best,” he stated.
The Padma Awards are among India’s highest civilian honours, including the Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri. These awards recognise extraordinary achievements in sectors such as arts, literature, education, medicine, science, sports, social work, public affairs, business, and industry.
The 2026 Padma Awards were announced on the eve of Republic Day, honouring several prominent personalities. Many awardees have dedicated their lives to serving the nation, bringing positive change across diverse areas of society.
The list, signed by President Droupadi Murmu, has been widely congratulated across the country. The announcements, traditionally made by the President’s office, showcase India’s talent and commitment once again.
The Ministry of Home Affairs released the list naming 5 Padma Vibhushan, 13 Padma Bhushan, and 113 Padma Shri awardees this year.
This recognition highlights the remarkable dedication and achievements of individuals contributing significantly to India’s progress and heritage.
