Giridih, Jharkhand: A partially burnt body of a young woman was discovered on Friday in a secluded bushy area near Bengali Tola in Beko village, under Bagodar police station limits, causing alarm among local residents. The villagers immediately informed the police, who recovered the body from the site.
According to police sources, the deceased is estimated to be between 20 and 25 years old. The body appears to be one to two days old, though this will be confirmed only after the post-mortem report is received. The condition of the body suggests suspicious circumstances, raising the possibility of murder.
Bagodar police station in-charge Vinay Kumar Yadav stated that the identity of the woman has not yet been established. Information has been circulated to nearby police stations, and ongoing investigations into missing women cases in the region are being reviewed to aid identification.
Given the seriousness of the incident, the police have cordoned off the area and restricted public movement to preserve evidence. Security personnel have been deployed to prevent any tampering with the crime scene. Forensic teams are conducting a thorough examination to collect clues.
