Bokaro police are investigating after the body of an unidentified middle-aged woman was found in bushes near Sector-6 police station area on Friday. The body was discovered close to Bokaro Steel City College when passersby spotted it and immediately informed the authorities.
Police arrived promptly at the scene, took the body into custody, and began an investigation. Initial findings suggest the woman was killed by severe head injuries caused by blunt force, possibly stones. The deceased is estimated to be between 35 and 40 years old, but her identity remains unknown.
Based on her clothing and appearance, police believe she may have been from a rural area, although confirmation will depend on identifying her. Officers have started questioning local residents and are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby locations to gather more information. Additionally, they are cross-checking recent missing persons reports filed in various police stations.
Forensic experts and a dog squad have been called to the site to collect evidence and track any potential suspects. The forensic team is carefully gathering clues that might reveal the weapon used or other important details about the crime.
The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, which will provide definitive insights into the cause of death. Sector-6 police station in-charge Sangita Kumari stated that the police are thoroughly examining all aspects of the case to ensure a comprehensive investigation.
