New Delhi, February 4: A recent incident in the Parliament complex has garnered significant attention. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor was seen stumbling while talking on his phone on the stairs of the Parliament, prompting Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav to assist him.
A video of the incident has gone viral on social media, showing Tharoor losing his balance as he stepped on the stairs. Yadav, who was standing nearby, quickly helped Tharoor regain his footing. The two were then seen engaging in a brief conversation, after which Yadav was observed guiding Tharoor down the stairs.
Following the incident, concerns regarding Tharoor’s health were raised by several individuals. Tharoor himself later shared the video on social media, stating, “One who must shine in the storm must tread carefully. I am fine.” His remarks have since sparked political interpretations.
In another notable event in Parliament, a heated exchange occurred between Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi and Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu. Gandhi assured Bittu, “Don’t worry, you will come back.” During this interaction, Gandhi referred to Bittu as a traitor. Although Gandhi extended his hand for a handshake, Bittu left without reciprocating. This incident has drawn criticism from the BJP, which has launched attacks against Gandhi.
In response to Gandhi’s comments, seven BJP MPs in the Lok Sabha condemned his remarks, asserting that he directly attacked the dignity of the Sikh community.
