Bhopal, February 7: Swami Paramahans Satchidanand Maharaj, the revered founder of the Dharkundi Ashram in Satna, Madhya Pradesh, passed away on Saturday at the age of 102 in a hospital in Mumbai. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav expressed his sorrow over the demise of the spiritual leader.
In a heartfelt message on social media platform ‘X’, CM Yadav stated that the news of Swami Paramahans Satchidanand Maharaj’s passing is extremely sad. He highlighted that the swami dedicated his entire life to service, meditation, and the welfare of humanity. The Chief Minister prayed for the departed soul to find a place at the feet of Lord Mahakal and for the grieving followers to be granted the strength to bear this immense sorrow.
The news of the swami’s passing has sent waves of grief among his millions of devotees across the country. His mortal remains were brought from Mumbai to the Dharkundi Ashram in Chitrakoot, where followers paid their last respects with tearful tributes. Final viewing will take place at the ashram on Sunday, and according to the ashram’s traditions, the last rites will be performed on Monday.
