
Srinagar, March 10: The Jammu and Kashmir government has dismissed three employees from the Jal Shakti Department for their involvement in anti-national and terrorist activities.
According to an order issued by the Jammu and Kashmir government, a temporary employee named Shaukat Ahmad Zargar from Bijbehara in Anantnag district has been terminated due to his involvement in a case registered in 2019. Following the filing of a charge sheet related to alleged terrorist activities and conspiracy, the case is currently under hearing.
In separate orders, the government has also dismissed temporary employees Liaqat Ali Bhagat and Kausar Hussain Bhagat from Kishtwar district for their alleged involvement in anti-national activities. Charges have been filed against them under the UAPA, with the charge sheet already submitted and the case under consideration. The termination orders state that these actions were taken in the interest of the administration.
It is noteworthy that on March 9, the Jammu and Kashmir police seized a two-storey residential property in Shopian, reportedly acquired through the illegal drug trade, valued at approximately ₹5,521,189. This property belonged to Ghulam Mohammad Khande from the Zarkan Keller area.
During the investigation, police discovered that the property was built using funds obtained from the illegal sale of drugs and narcotics. Following legal provisions, the property was confiscated as part of the case registered at the Keller police station.
