New Delhi, March 11: BJP MP Anurag Thakur targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during a Lok Sabha session, stating that “some people are made to run away, not to participate.” Thakur’s comments were directed at Gandhi’s frequent exits from the House during important discussions.
Thakur remarked on Gandhi’s behavior both inside and outside the House, suggesting that he operates without any rules. “His conduct is unacceptable, and he has a tendency to lie,” Thakur added. He emphasized that Gandhi often claims he is not allowed to speak in the House, yet when given the opportunity, he chooses to leave.
BJP MP Kiran Chaudhary criticized the Congress party for wasting time in the House, claiming they lack facts and often fall flat on the issues they raise. She stated that the Congress has reached a low point, lacking both policy and intent.
Kangana Ranaut, another BJP MP, accused Congress of making baseless allegations while creating a ruckus when faced with the truth. She highlighted that the public has observed Gandhi’s absence from Parliament and his preference for staying abroad.
Ravi Shankar Prasad, also from the BJP, declared that the Congress party’s attempts to undermine the dignity of the Lok Sabha had failed. He pointed out that Gandhi pretends he is not allowed to speak, while Amit Shah has clarified the amount of time he is allocated to speak, indicating that Gandhi does not adhere to the rules.
The session concluded with Prasad commending Om Birla for his composure in managing the proceedings.
