UAE Condemns Iranian Attack Targeting Bahrain

New Delhi, March 24: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has strongly condemned an Iranian attack that targeted Bahrain, resulting in the death of a Moroccan contractor on duty and injuries to several Bahraini soldiers, including personnel from the UAE Ministry of Defence.

The UAE denounced the unprovoked attack, which violated international law and threatened the sovereignty and security of Bahrain. In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated that this aggression poses a significant threat to the stability of the region and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

The UAE expressed full solidarity with Bahrain and emphasized its support for all measures taken to maintain the kingdom’s security and stability. Following the attack, the UAE extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased contractor, as well as to the Moroccan government and its people, wishing a speedy recovery to all the injured.

Amid ongoing tensions in West Asia, Israel claimed on Tuesday that it had successfully destroyed an Iranian launcher, averting a potential threat. Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani, an international spokesperson for the Israel Defence Forces (IDF), stated that Israeli Air Force jets targeted a fully loaded ballistic missile launcher in western Iran that was prepared to attack Israel.

He posted on the social media platform ‘X’ that the launch aimed at civilians was intercepted in time, preventing a potential disaster.
