Ajinkya Rahane Breaks Gautam Gambhirs Decade-Old Record in IPL

Mumbai, March 29: In the second match of IPL 2026, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain Ajinkya Rahane delivered a stunning half-century against Mumbai Indians (MI), breaking a decade-old record set by former KKR captain Gautam Gambhir.

During the match held at Wankhede Stadium on Sunday, Rahane opened the innings for KKR and scored an explosive 67 runs off just 40 balls, hitting 3 fours and 5 sixes. This innings marks the highest score by any KKR captain against Mumbai Indians.
