
New Delhi, March 29: The Indian Ambassador to Qatar met with the Qatari Minister of State for International Cooperation. This meeting, as reported by the Indian Embassy in Qatar, covered several important topics.
The Indian Embassy stated that the Ambassador had a discussion with Minister Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad. The meeting focused on various aspects of bilateral relations and the necessity of dialogue and diplomacy in light of the regional situation’s decline. The Ambassador also expressed gratitude to the Minister for the support extended to the Indian community.
A statement from Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the meeting on Sunday centered on bilateral relations and various issues of mutual concern. The International Cooperation Minister emphasized the importance of mobilizing international support to immediately halt any escalating actions and return to the negotiating table, aiming to control tensions and protect regional security and stability.
This meeting is considered significant amidst the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, where the situation remains tense and many people are fleeing the affected areas.
In related news, Kuwait reported that its air defense system successfully intercepted several aerial threats in the past 24 hours. However, a missile attack on a military camp resulted in injuries to 10 soldiers. According to an official statement, defense forces shot down 14 ballistic missiles and 12 drones, but some projectiles still struck a military camp, causing injuries. The wounded have been hospitalized and are receiving treatment. The attack also damaged the camp and targeted warehouses of a private logistics company, resulting in property damage but no casualties.
