Agartala, April 4: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has urged the public to avoid “misleading messages” and to align themselves with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in a bid to establish a “triple engine government.” He asserted that the citizens are ready to support the BJP in the upcoming elections for the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), scheduled for April 12.
Addressing an election rally in the Ganganagar-Gandachhara assembly constituency of Dhalai district, Saha emphasized the need for collective efforts to create a new Tripura. He noted that public trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi is steadily increasing, stating, “Wherever I go, people are joining under the BJP flag. Today, 710 voters from 251 families have joined the party. I welcome them; you have made the right decision at the right time.”
The Chief Minister appealed to individuals associated with the TIPRA Motha Party (TMP) and other parties, particularly the youth, to remain focused and not be misled. He remarked, “Those in TMP or other parties, especially the youth, should not be misguided. Our double engine government is progressing towards the goals set for 2047. Stay away from those spreading false messages and join the BJP in a timely manner.”
Saha highlighted that Prime Minister Modi speaks of a “New India,” and the state is working towards creating a “New Tripura.” He stated, “Development must reach every community—caste, tribe, and Manipuri minorities—and infrastructure must be strengthened for a new Tripura and a developed India.”
