PM Modi Visits Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Engages with Children

New Delhi, April 29: Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the revered Kashi Vishwanath Temple in Varanasi on Wednesday, participating in traditional rituals amidst the sounds of the ‘damru’ and ‘shankhnaad’. Upon his arrival, he received a grand welcome.

During his visit, PM Modi took part in Vedic chants, performing the ‘abhishek’ and ‘aartis’ for Lord Shiva, and sought blessings from the deity. The temple administration presented him with a ‘trishul’ and a ‘damru’ as a token of respect.

As he greeted the crowd present at the temple, chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’, ‘Om Namah Shivaya’, and ‘Om Namah Parvati Pataye, Har Har Mahadev’ echoed through the premises. Enthusiastic children crossed barricades to greet the Prime Minister with smiles.

PM Modi also took a moment to observe the Vikramaditya Vedic clock installed in the temple complex.

Following his temple visit, he is set to travel to Hardoi, where he will inaugurate the Ganga Expressway, a significant infrastructure project costing ₹36,230 crores. He will also address a public gathering there. The Ganga Expressway, spanning 594 kilometers and designed as a six-lane access-controlled greenfield high-speed corridor, will connect 12 districts, including Meerut, Bulandshahr, and Prayagraj, facilitating seamless travel across western, central, and eastern Uttar Pradesh.

This project is expected to reduce travel time between Meerut and Prayagraj from 10-12 hours to approximately 6 hours, enhancing transportation efficiency.
