Lucknow, May 1: Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai was admitted to a private hospital in Lucknow on Friday after his health suddenly deteriorated. Reports indicate that he experienced dizziness and lost consciousness. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his wishes for Ajay Rai’s swift recovery.
On the social media platform X, Prime Minister Modi posted a message wishing for Rai’s quick healing, acknowledging the news of his illness.
According to reports, Ajay Rai had attended a conference for teachers and doctors organized by the party earlier in the day, where several senior Congress leaders were present. During the event, he complained of discomfort and pain.
After the program concluded, his condition worsened, leading to him losing consciousness. He was promptly admitted to the emergency ward of a private hospital in Lucknow.
It is reported that Ajay Rai was hospitalized due to sudden chest pain, discomfort, and fainting. A team of specialist doctors is monitoring his condition, and treatment is ongoing.
Currently, the medical team is keeping a close watch on his health, which is said to be stable.
In the evening, Ajay Rai spoke to the media, sharing his views on the recent hike in commercial LPG cylinder prices. He stated that he had always warned that gas prices would increase, and noted the government’s timing in raising prices immediately after the elections.
