Mumbai, May 17: Maharashtra Assembly BJP MLA Sanjay Upadhyay has expressed full support for Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s appeal to provide financial assistance for families having a third or fourth child. He emphasized that the Hindu community should have more children to prevent population imbalance.
In an interview, Upadhyay stated, “We want Hindus to have more children. If the population imbalance continues and the Muslim population grows rapidly, it will change the country’s demographics, affecting national security and character.”
He further remarked, “While we adhere to the government’s ‘we two, our two’ policy, there are discussions about ‘four and our forty.’ The Andhra Pradesh government’s initiative to offer ₹30,000 for a third child and ₹40,000 for a fourth is commendable.”
On the NEET paper leak controversy, Upadhyay described it as unfortunate but noted that NEET and NTA have significantly reduced the previous fraud and corruption in medical admissions. He claimed that some individuals want to dismantle this process because they are no longer benefiting from corruption.
He demanded that the NEET process should be made stricter yet more accessible for students, and those involved in the malpractice should face severe penalties.
Expressing pride in Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi’s statements regarding Pakistan, Upadhyay said, “All Indians take pride in our army. The Chief’s statement is a source of pride for every Indian. It symbolizes the strength and valor of the Indian Army.”
He welcomed the court’s decision regarding the Bhojshala case, calling it a historic ruling. Upadhyay insisted that population policy should be viewed from a national security perspective and urged the Hindu community to understand their social and national responsibilities by having more children and providing them with quality education and values.
