Social media users are praising Sonu Sood’s religious journey enthusiastically.

The Kamakhya Devi Temple, situated on the Nilachal Hills in Guwahati, is considered one of the prominent and highly revered sites among the 51 Shakti Peeths in the country. This temple is famous worldwide for its religious significance, tantra practices, and goddess worship. It is believed that the ‘yoni’ part of Goddess Sati fell here, making it an important center for spiritual practices. The temple is particularly renowned for the Devi’s menstrual festival, Ambubachi Mela, and the worship of the ten Mahavidyas.

Notably, there is no idol or image of the goddess in the main temple. Instead, there is a natural crevice in the ground shaped like a yoni, from which water continuously flows and is covered with flowers. Every year, during the Ambubachi Mela in June, the temple remains closed for about three days, as it is believed that the goddess undergoes her menstrual cycle. On the fourth day, the temple doors are opened for devotees, who flock in large numbers to seek blessings.
