Lucknow, May 25: Two young men lost their lives in a tragic road accident late last night in the capital of Uttar Pradesh. The police have handed over the bodies to the families after post-mortem examinations.
According to information from the Lucknow Police Commissioner’s media cell, the accident occurred around 10 PM near the Hanuman Temple in the Banthra area. The victims, 19-year-old Deepanshu from Lala Kheda Ramchaura and 20-year-old Kamal from Gauri, were riding their motorcycle when an unknown vehicle collided with them. The impact was so severe that their motorcycle was thrown off the road, leaving both young men critically injured.
Local police arrived at the scene promptly after receiving the accident report. They rushed the injured to the Community Health Center (CHC) in Sarojininagar, but doctors declared both Deepanshu and Kamal dead upon arrival.
Family members of the deceased reached the site shortly after the incident. Following the completion of necessary formalities, the bodies were handed over to them. The police are currently searching for the vehicle involved in the accident using CCTV footage and other means. The Lucknow Police Commissioner’s media cell stated that necessary legal action will be taken upon receiving a formal complaint. The situation at the scene remains calm.
Earlier on Friday, a speeding unidentified truck had collided with a motorcycle in the Sarojininagar area, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and leaving another severely injured.
