BJP Hits Back at Congress Over Harshvardhan Sapkals Remarks

New Delhi, May 26: Maharashtra Congress President Harshvardhan Sapkal has made derogatory comments regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that the Prime Minister’s policies have deteriorated India’s relations with neighboring countries, affecting onion exports.

Sapkal stated that the strained relations with countries like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Iran have led to disruptions in onion exports. Following his remarks, the BJP launched a sharp counterattack against Congress.

BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala questioned the language used by Congress leaders, suggesting that it is not a coincidence but a calculated strategy. He pointed out that recently, Congress leader Ajay Rai also used offensive language against the Prime Minister, and Rahul Gandhi referred to him as a “traitor.”

Poonawala remarked, “Now, with the words used by Maharashtra Congress President Harshvardhan Sapkal, it is clear that Congress is no longer a Gandhian party but has become one that resorts to insults. Congress has turned into a shop of abuses rather than love.”

He accused Congress leaders of lacking issues that resonate with the public, leading them to rely on personal attacks and vulgar language. Poonawala added that the Congress leader who uses the most insults receives “applause and promotion” from Rahul Gandhi.

The BJP spokesperson emphasized that this is not just an insult to the Prime Minister but also to the people of the country and the Constitution. He claimed that the public will respond democratically through their votes.
