BJP Hits Back at Congress Over Harshvardhan Sapkals Remarks

New Delhi, May 27: The Maharashtra Congress President, Harshvardhan Sapkal, has made derogatory remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi, alleging that the Prime Minister’s policies have deteriorated India’s relations with neighboring countries, impacting onion exports.

Sapkal stated that the strained relations with countries like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Iran have led to disruptions in onion exports. Following his comments, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched a sharp rebuttal against Congress.

BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala questioned the language used by Congress leaders, suggesting it is not a coincidence but a calculated strategy. He pointed out that recently, Congress leader Ajay Rai also used inappropriate language against the Prime Minister, and Rahul Gandhi referred to him as a ‘traitor.’

Poonawala stated, “With the words used by Maharashtra Congress President Harshvardhan Sapkal, it is clear that Congress is no longer a Gandhi-inspired party but has become one that resorts to insults. Congress has turned into a shop of abuses rather than love.”

He accused Congress leaders of lacking issues related to the public, which leads them to rely on personal attacks and foul language. Poonawala added that the Congress leader who uses the most insults receives ‘applause and promotion’ from Rahul Gandhi.

The BJP spokesperson further asserted that this is not just an insult to the Prime Minister but also to the people of the country and the Constitution. He claimed that the public would respond democratically through their votes.
