
Ranchi, May 29: A newlywed woman died under suspicious circumstances in Bagdo village, located in the Domchanch police station area of Koderma district, Jharkhand, on Friday. The deceased has been identified as 22-year-old Kajal Khatun, who had married Ayan Ansari approximately two months ago.
Family members of the deceased have accused her husband and in-laws of murder, leading to a significant uproar. Following the incident, all members of the in-law’s family, including the husband, have reportedly gone into hiding. According to reports, Kajal’s husband informed her family over the phone that her health had suddenly deteriorated.
Upon receiving the call, Kajal’s family rushed to her in-laws’ home, where they found her body lying on the bed in a room, with no family members present. The Domchanch police arrived at the scene shortly after being notified and initiated an investigation.
The police have taken the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem examination. Kajal’s relatives have been vocal in their accusations against her in-laws, claiming that she had been subjected to harassment since her marriage. In light of the seriousness of the situation, Koderma SDPO Pramod Keshari also visited the site to assure the family of a fair investigation.
Authorities stated that the actual cause of death would be clarified once the post-mortem report is available. Meanwhile, police are actively searching for the absconding husband and other members of the in-law’s family. Tension has escalated in the village and surrounding areas regarding the incident, with police confirming that all aspects of the case are being thoroughly examined.
