Sunday on Cycle Celebrates 76th Edition, Aims to Inspire Youth Fitness

New Delhi, May 31: In an effort to raise awareness about fitness across the nation, the government organizes the ‘Sunday on Cycle’ event every Sunday under the Fit India Movement. The 76th edition of this initiative took place at the Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium on Sunday.

Fit India Director Sushant Kandwal stated that the aim of this campaign is to motivate youth towards fitness. He expressed, “We want all young people to dedicate at least half an hour each day to their fitness.” Speaking about the event, he added, “As you can see, our 76th edition is being held at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, and nearly a thousand people participated today. We are very pleased that most attendees came in offline mode. This indicates that not only was our online registration successful, but the number of people coming from outside has also significantly increased. This shows that the message of the Fit India Movement is spreading among the youth, which is very inspiring for us.”

He further emphasized, “We strive to encourage youth to take out at least half an hour every day for their fitness and well-being. Under this initiative, we gather people not just for cycling but also for various fitness activities like yoga and Zumba. I hope that this habit is not limited to Sundays but that we make time for our fitness every day to maintain our physical health.”

The ‘Sunday on Cycle’ event saw enthusiastic participation, and the stadium also hosted several colorful programs. This initiative invites people from different sections of society to join the event every Sunday, spreading the message of fitness awareness.
